The territory of the Township of Montegiardino covers an area of 3.31 square kilometers. The population, as of 30 June 2014, amounted to 915 inhabitants, of whom 452 were females and 463 were males.

The Township Council consists of the Head and 7 Members.

The economy of the Township is based on 59 businesses, of which 13 operate in the construction sector , 12 in the commercial sector and 6 in agriculture.

The Township also houses: a kindergarten and an elementary school, a park called "Le Stradelle" in which residents can find a green area equipped for leisure activities. The small and renovated apartments in the historic centre are intended to accommodate students attending classes at the University of San Marino. The Township also houses the University Department of Economics and Technology.
